Introducing .........

Lizzie Doodles

I know it has taken me a little longer than planned but I have finally unpacked the car from last weekend and found the card ideas made using our new stamps. (I know I really must start taking pictures as I make the cards but I forget!). So here is the first one.....

To make this one I started by drawing a faint circle in pencil onto a 7 inch square piece of cream card (I drew around a CD). Then using the solid Lizzie stamp I stamped one in each quarter of the circle in blue ink. Next I stamped the solid leaf in green ink either side of the solid flower. To the stamped leaves and the flowers I over stamped it using the detailed stamps.

I then chose some patterned paper and stamped the detailed Lizzie stamp onto it four times and cut it out. Around the edges of the four cut out flowers were distressed lightly. Out of the patterned  paper I also die cut a small tag for the sentiment, which I then covered in Stardust embossing powder. A smaller one out of the same cream card as the base, onto this one I stamped the sentiment.

Around the edge of the 7 inch square piece of card I distressed it lightly and added fake stitch using a fin marker pen. This was then matted onto a 7.5 inch square piece of  Kraft card that had also been lightly distressed. Finally this was then matted onto a 8 inch square purple base card (this too was distressed.)

To finish off the card I attached the four cut out flowers and added a gem to the centre of all of the flowers. In the four corners I added a button and some tied bakers twine.

I hope you like these new stamps, if you do why not check out out website

Better late than never....

Happy New Year!

I know it is a little late but things have been crazy busy here at Crafty Roo HQ. So crazy I am not really sure where to begin...

I guess the big news is I finally got around to designing some new stamps and they are completely different to any I have designed before, hopefully I will be able to share more next week, when I will have them in my inky hands and be making loads of new samples.

But for now here is a sneaky peak! Don't tell anyone!

We are also working on revamping the website so stay tunned!

Little Lady started back at school and there are sooo many changes, firstly the groups have changed rooms (she didn't like that!), we have "New" children. And probably the hardest bit for her, is her favourite teacher has moved to another group and she has got a new teacher which was the end of the world!

That was until Little Lady decided to head butt the playground floor with spectacular style and luckily it was her new teacher that made everything alright, so she now as a new favourite teacher!

So all in all for a kid that hates change or not having time to process things that are different she has coped extremely well! Not to forget we have also had Jabs this week!

Fingers crossed next week should (No) will be less hectic!
