A day off!!!!

Today is my first Sunday "off" in what feels like forever, the plan to spend all day with Little Lady and Mr Crafty Roo. However, Little Lady remembered she HAD to have a bag for forest day, so my quiet Sunday turned into a sewing frenzy......

Little Lady chose the fabric herself, got me another bag that was the perfect size that I could use as a pattern and she drew me exactly what it had to have on the front.

I know I only put on one tree but she doesn't seem to have noticed and asked why that particular fabric? "because it looked like a muddy puddle" guess I can't argue with that!

Now we are off to paint decorations, sort out our talk time book and make a mobile! So much for a quiet day lol!

My craft desk....

We are off to the Nissan Sports & Social Club in Sunderland on Sunday for another fabulous Ross Papercrafts show, so I am busy working on a few new ideas for our display boards and I thought I would just give you all a sneaky peep!!!!

A dragonfly house!

A butterfly wreath and a poppy birthday card.

A fabric heart - hopefully it will be finished by Sunday!

And of course a must have some butterfly bunting lol!

So if you are near the Nissan Sports & Social Club, Washington Road, (A1290), Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, SR5 3NS, why not pop in and say HI!

Nina Crafts: Vroom Vroom T-shirt

I love making my own t-shirts for my little lady, she has her own sense of style and is forever demanding, sorry, asking rather loudly for a certain thing to be on her tops, so stamping onto them has become second nature to us. I just buy a bulk load of white t-shirts and wait for the demands.....

For this t-shirt I used the Vroom Vroom and plain alphabet stamp sets from Nina Crafts /Dimension Stamps.
I started by ironing some Heat'N'Bond Lite onto some red and green fabric, then onto that I stamped the car and "GO" onto it using Versacraft ink. Please remember to heat seal it using an iron otherwise it will wash out or will run if it gets wet and it will make a BIG mess! I always have a scrap piece of fabric that I place over the image when I am ironing as some does come off and I wouldn't want it to end up on my iron or worse my hubbies shirts!
Once they were sealed I cut them out leaving a small boarder around the car.
I then spaced them out on the t-shirt and stamped on the tyre tracks and exhaust fumes, then sealed them too.
Next I ironed on the car and letters. Because I had used Heat'N'Bond Lite I then had to sew around the edges of the car and letters. (If you don't like sewing you can use No Sew Heat'N'Bond!).

Tree Skirt

It's finished!!!!

After many hours of sewing and pinning and, well you get the picture I actually finished it! I am so pleased with it!

Five minutes after this photo was taken, it was put under the tree. Or as Little Lady said "we put the trees feet to bed" and the cat curled up and fell asleep!

How's that for a fancy cat bed!

Special Delivery

Oooohhhhh look what my lovely Postman just handed me.....

Isn't it gorgous!

It's going to be a tree skirt as our old one got destroyed last year in a cat related incident, so I have had all year to plan and make our new tree skirt!

As you can see I have given myself plenty of time. (Well, atleast I didn't wait till December!)

So all I have to do now is cut loads and loads of squares, applique a couple of snowman, add some wading, back it.....

No pressure then!
