Imagine Wall Canvas

The first time I stamped Poppy Cogs I knew I HAD to make wall canvas using it. In my head I wanted something really simple and minimal........

That really didn't happen but I love the result!

For this canvas I used the Poppy CogsBuild Your Own Butterfly and Mini Cog Corner stamp sets from Crafty Roo Designs.

New Stamps

After many hours or designing and packaging my new stamps are now ready at the Crafty Roo Designs Shop!

My mum really loves Dragonflies and Poppies so these first two were designed with her in mind

(this one is also available as a Build Your Own set)

This little fella is so useful you will be seeing many items made by me using Baby Bird

And where would a birdie be without a branch

There are more to come......

But if you can't wait, you can see them at Crafty Roo Designs.

Last minute commission.....

For a last minute make I love how these cards turned out.

I had a less than a days notice for these two cards so I couldn't use my glossy accents or crackle paint as it might not of quite dried in time and nobody wants to receive a soggie card! So I rummaged through my crafty bits and found Glitter Paste which dries virtually instantly it was perfect for the job!

My brief for the cards was two girly, Thank You cards in pink and purple. For these cards I used my Baby Butterfly and Mini Cog Corners stamp sets and a very old "Thank You" sentiment from Dimension Stamps.

To make this card I started by stamping two butterflies onto a square piece of off white card in a very pale pink or purple distress ink. I then used a darker pink or purple distress ink and added it to the wings making the wings darker at the centre and lighter towards the sides.

Then in the dark distress ink I stamped the butterflies whoosh, and the mini corner in the top left hand corner,  the sentiment in the bottom right corner. And finished off the frame using the straight piece masking off any bits that needed to be. I then distressed around the edges. To finish this off I then stamped over the butterfly using Glitter Paste.

Next I cut a piece of copper pearl card and clear embossed the mini cogs stamp around the edge.

For the base card I stamped the mini cogs stamp all over in the darker distress ink and then distressed around the edge.

To finish the card off I matted all the pieces onto each other then added a ribbon.

Simply Inky!

Some days I just have to play with my inks and today was one of those days!

I made these beauties by stamping the Crafty Jack stamp in the centre of a card and "coloured" them in using watered down Distress Inks!

(Faded Jeans and Festive Berries)

(Dusty Concorde and Tattered Rose)

(Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky)

I love how different they look just by playing with the colours.

Time to play...........

I know it has been a while but hopefully you will think it has been worth it!

As soon as I saw Dimension Stamps April's Project Club stamps I thought about Fathers Day gifts as both my Dad and Father-in-law are big veggie growers and this set seemed to fit really well!

This "Veggie Guide" gives them room to make notes about the plants they have planted each season, how well they did or didn't do!

Store empty seed packets so they know which ones they want to buy for next year!

I have also split it into veggie groups to be super organised!

To make this "Veggie Guide" I also used the following stamps:
  • Newspaper Print Background (One of my favorite stamps right now!)
  • Alphabet 3
  • Alphabet 4
  • Seasons Around the Corner
