I have also been busy (well playing really!) with these little beauties and I have lots of ideas to share so bob back soon.....

I am just about to make a start on Little Man's Birthday card he will be 1 this weekend. I can't believe it, in some ways I can't believe he will be turning 1 but in others I can't believe he's not turning 3 or 4!

Oh dear

Is anyone still out there............

What can I say I have been really bad these past few months.

We (by that I mean the royal "we") have been to the Ross Papercrafts Shows at Rainton and Grimbsy and a week on Saturday (25th October) I yes I will be at Stamperama in Flitwick in support of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. I can't wait, it will be my first show since May and boy have I missed chatting away to all you nice people! So please if your in the area that day why not come along have a chat and support a great cause! Check out their website for more info http://www.stamperama.com

I have also been playing with my paints again!

Since Little Lady started school/swimming we seem to get a letter (or two!) every night so I decided that I needed a better way of filing it all, our poor breakfast bar was disappearing under a sea of "important" letters. So I bought some cheap clipboards, decorated them and now they are hung neatly near the front door with all letters and notes neatly filed!!!!

This is Little Lady's

Do you recognise the stamp I used???? Yep its Lizzie Doodles, Little Lady chose it herself and helped to finish it off!

And this is Little man's

As for the other two I am just adding the glaze and will share them with you when they are dry!

Oh and Little Lady she is loving big school, the best part being lunch times where her and her "bestiest friend ever!" play with the big kids - I dread to think what she gets up to! And Little Man well he is a star, keeping me on my toes and growing up very fast on Friday he hits the big 10 (weeks!) where does the time go - if I am not careful he will be off to school before I know it!

Lots to share......

Wow it has been a while since I last sat down to chat! Many things have been going on here at Crafty Roo HQ.

First up Little Lady is in her new bedroom, I ended up painting

  • Jake, Izzie and Cubby (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates)
  • 1 duck
  • 1 frog
  • 2 hippos
  • 1 lion
  • 1 elephant
  • 1 giraffe
  • 1 donkey
  • 1 pig
  • 2 sheep
  • 1 cow
  • 5 chickens!
I should I have known when it comes to little lady, painting her room was never going to be easy! She chose everything herself including the stunning purple carpet!

Now the work begins on Baby Roos room, if little lady gets her way it will feature Fireman Sam - I don't think soooooo!

Also I have been busy designing some new stamps which are in production this week! So here's sneaky peep....

If that's not enough why not pop back Friday for some very exciting news..........

Busy days....

This week was always going to be busy as we have our very first show at Happy Stampers this weekend! I can't wait it was the very first show my mum, sister and I ever went too (many moons ago!), it is so exiciting going back as a trader and the bonus is its the closest show we will do to home so no silly get up times yyyaaaayyyy!

So, I can hear you all asking why it is such a busy week, well! I decided I wanted to make a few more "things" to show how fabulous our stamps are, well.... I might have got a little carried away!!!!

Here's a quick look at some of them.....

These last two were made by Sue aren't they cool!

I hope you like our stamps, if you do why not check out our website

At last......

I just had to share......

I have wanted, actually more like dreamt about these t-shirts for forever, so many people have said yep I can do them and let me down, apparently I would never find anyone who would be able to handle the detail of my logo!

Well I did! I found the fabulous David from Manchester Print & Promotions, he laughed when I mentioned the level of detail and he laughed even more at the prices I had been quoted! So in the quickest turn around ever he handed me these beauties.....

So this afternoon I am going to sit, stroke and admire these beauties - whoops I sound like I am turning into Gollum!

Quick and easy Christmas cards.....

I just love these quick and easy Christmas cards as they look stunning and take a matter of minutes to make!

For those of you who are none believers, I kid you not, a lady at the recent Ross Papercrafts show timed me as she didn't believe I could make a card (any size!) in less than 3 minutes, well these beauties take just over two minutes to stamp and assemble!!!!!

So why not give it a try......

Start by cutting your all your card to size for an 8 inch square card you will need: 8 inch square cream base card, 7 1/2 inch square piece of coloured card for the mat (same colour as your ink) and  a 7 inch square piece of cream card.

(A5 card: A5 cream base card, 14.8 by 20 cm piece of coloured card for the mat and  a 13.8 by 19 cm piece of cream card.)

Next create your template, to make mine I drew around a festive chipboard shape and cut it out. Alternatively you could use your festive die cuts or masks.

Then attach the template to the 7 inch square piece of cream card using low tack tape.

Using the cog arrangement stamp from the Mini Cog Corners stamp set "fill in" the template, making sure you over stamp on all the edges.

When you are happy you have filled the template, remove it carefully.

In each corner stamp the corner stamp. And mount it onto the  7 1/2 inch square coloured piece of card.

Around the edge of the 8 inch square card stamp the small cog arrangement, when stamping make sure some of the image is stamped off the card.

To finish off the card attached the mounted coloured card onto the base card.

The cards look great left blank like this one or with added embellishments.

The stamp set used to make these cards is called Mini Cog Corners and is available from Crafty Roo Designs and is only £3.00 including P&P.

Or you can buy the stamp set and 5 festive chipboard shapes to make your templates for £4.00.

(Shapes may vary!)
