May your Christmas sparkle

Crafty Roo HQ is all busy at the moment getting organised for our next shows, we have 3 shows over the next 3 weeks, so it is case of trying to get all those ducks lined up - but you always one waddling off in the wrong direction!

So, whilst Little Man has decided to have a quick 40 winks I thought I would take 5 minutes and share with you another of our new Christmas Stamps "May your Christmas Sparkle" and it has been teamed up with the Sparkle Flourish.

This one was so quick I even shocked myself!

All I did was cut a 7.5 inch square piece of white car and embossed the Sparkle Flourish a few times on the right, then distressed over it, mounted it onto a bigger piece of blue card an tied a ribbon down the left hand side and mounted onto an 8 inch square base card.

I then stamped the saying onto ta piece of white card, trimmed it down and lightly distressed it. then over the top I added stardust embossing powder to really make it sparkle and then mounted it too onto blue card.

Finally I attached the saying to the card and added some gems and pins.

With Love

On a roll!

We have been back at school for a week and a bit now Little Lady is settling into Year 1 nicely, Little Man is enjoying the time to himself, and I am getting a little more time to play and share more ideas with you. So here goes another Christmas idea to share.

I hope you like it ......

For this card I used our Christmas Tree- With Love and Christmas Wishes Stamps.

I started by cutting an A4 piece of kraft card down to create a DL and onto the fromt of the card I stamped Christmas Wishes down the front and then distressed it.

Onto the left over piece of kraft card I stamped and heat embossed the tree. I trimmed it down so it was 1.5cm smaller on each side. The trunk, heart and star were coloured in using distress ink and a waterbrush.

When it was dry I distressed and doodled around the edge. I then mounted it onto a piece of white card added a white brad in each corner attached some ribbon around the bottom and attached it to the center of the card.

I love how quick this card was to make, if you like these stamps why not check out our website

Gingerbread Wreath

So, this is one of those cards that just happen.

You all know the ones, you start off with a very clear picture in your mind and about 5 minutes after you start, it looks nothing like that idea you had but you carry on anyway.

And then something happens, and somehow you end up with a card you love!

Well this is one of those!

For the background I randomly stamped the Candy Cane, Gingerbread and and lady (Christmas Minis - Set 1) in red and brown, distressed it, doodled around the edge and mounted it onto a piece of red card before it was mounted onto an 8 inch square base card.

To make the topper I stamped the Christmas Wreath onto a piece of card and trimmed it down then coloured it in using water and distress inks and left it to dry. Onto Kraft card I stamped and heat embossed 3 of each of the Candy Cane, Gingerbread and and lady, and cut them out leaving a narrow border. When the wreath was dry I distressed around the edge, then 2nd generation stamped the Candy Cane along the edges and doodled too. The wreath was then mounted onto read card and then added to the base card. The Candy Canes and Gingerbread people added too.

Next I stamped Christmas Wishes onto a scrap of card, trimmed it down, distressed and doodled around it as before. This was then mounted onto red card and attached to the card.

Finally I added some ribbon and pins.

I hope you like how it turned out too!

Deck the Halls

This set (Deck the Halls - Set 2) proved to be a big hit at Ross Papercrafts show up in Nissan last Sunday, people couldn't believe how quickly you can make a fab card.

So here goes this beauty can be made in a matter of minutes.....

I started by cutting up all my card first so in red I cut a 13.5cm by 20cm  and a 12.5cm by 3cm. In white I cut a 12.5cm by 19cm and a 12.5cm by 2.5cm.

That all done I distressed lightly around the edge of the white cut pieces using Scattered Straw (this helps to make the red look red"er"). Across the top of the large white piece of card I stamped Sparkle Flourish in Memento Ladybug and then the four baubles (Christmas Minis Set 2). I then doodled around the edge and added the string between the flourish and each bauble.

Onto the thin strip of white card I stamped Deck the Halls doodled around the edge, mounted this onto the red and added a gold brad to each corner. This was then attached to the large piece of white card, and again this was mounted onto the red card, brads added and then attached to the front of a white A5 card.

So that was quick wasn't it!

Christmas Fair

Well, where has Christmas sneaked up from? It only feels like yesterday we were starting school and now we have been working on donations for the School Christmas Fair.

This year Little Lady decided we had to make something for the School Fair and cakes just wouldn't cut it "Mummy we make cakes for school all the time!" She's right they run a monthly cake sale with the proceeds going to a different charity each month, which is great but donating cakes just wasn't enough for the SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR!!

So we whisked up 50+ sweet bags......

These are soooo easy to make Little Lady helped make everyone!  The stamps we used are our Little Holly Stamp and our Christmas Greetings. And lots of glitter glue.

So 50+ bags of sweets you would think would be enough, and in most cases you would be right! BUT! To Little Lady NO! She decided she wanted to make some toys, yes you read that right MAKE some toys. So after a few discussions, Little Lady won I ended up crocheting monsters and minions.....

SORRY, WORST PICTURES EVER!!!!!

Yep, I have learnt to Crochet!!!! It has only taken me till the grand old age of ** but I have finally done it! Many people have tried to teach me over the years, I have driven them mad as I just couldn't get it, but for some reason about two months ago it just clicked and I LOVE it!

So for my next challenge I have to make Little Ladies Nativity costume! Drum roll please! She has been cast in the oh so vital roll of CAMEL. Yes it is the ideal roll for her she gets to plod along at her own pace in her own little world and I have to figure out how to make a camel costume (minus the head!) oh the fun!

And a post from me would be complete without a picture of Little Lady and Little Man in all their craziness.....
