This frame is hot off the craft desk!

I was sorting my stock for tomorrows market and realised I didn't have many frames made. At first I wasn't too sure about the bright purple frame, but as I started working on the centre I began to love it!

The saying "in dreams we catch glimpses of life larger than our own" is one of my favorite sayings.

Vision Board

So I can finally share this monster of a project, I don't mean it was hard or horrible to do, it was just huge!!!!!!! Every time I did any work on it is seemed to grow another inch lol, well maybe not, but that's how it felt!!!!

Anyway my brief for this project was to create a vision board, featuring a logo (Arbonne) and I was given some some pink butterflies made out of feathers...... well, I had never heard of vision boards used other than when re-designing rooms or buildings! So after a good old look around I decided that maybe a board wasn't quite the right thing to do as once you started pining things to it you would lose the logo! And, after all if you go to the effort of having something made and wanting a logo on it you might as well see it, right?

So it's amazing what you can make using an embroidery hoop and wooden pegs!!!!! 

Each peg was lovingly painted, stamped, distressed, drilled and screwed - yep you read that right I GOT TO USE POWER TOOLS!!!!!!! How cool!

U Rock Frame

I love how this frame turned out, it started out as a 99p bright green plastic frame from a £1 shop, and I hope you agreed it turned into a fab addition to any teenagers room. And the best bit is it was so simple and quick to do!!!

How to make:

I started by stamping the triangle from Awesome Boyz all over 2 A4 sheets of copier paper and then added the different centres. These were then cut out and glued onto the frame making sure the frame was completely covered.

Whilst the frame was drying I stamped the triangle with the "U Rock!" centre and I also stamped the cog arrangement from Large Cog Corner onto white card and embossed it using UTEE. When it was cold I then distressed them.

Next I covered a small piece of card in Frantage embossing emamel then while it was still hot I stamped Cog Crown into and cut it out when cool!.

Finally I punched out a 1inch circle and wrote on the date and added it to a bottle top using Glossy Accents. Once the frame was completely dry they were attached the to frame.

Imagine Wall Canvas

The first time I stamped Poppy Cogs I knew I HAD to make wall canvas using it. In my head I wanted something really simple and minimal........

That really didn't happen but I love the result!

For this canvas I used the Poppy Cogs, Build Your Own Butterfly and Mini Cog Corner stamp sets from Crafty Roo Designs.

One for the Girls...

Well I couldn't miss out making a frame for the girls too...

New: Family Frame

Every week I am planning to add at least one new item to the shop!

So here is this weeks newbie, a frame for a beautiful family picture! I love have pictures around the house especially of loved ones. I think this one would look great with a black and white or sepia photo!

Where does the time go....

I know I am really useless at keeping you all updated with my crafty projects but I have been very busy (I know being busy isn't a very good excuse but its the only one I have!)

I have completed my first ever commission, I know it was all very exciting! I was asked to make two frames that would be presented to the dance teachers at the dance school my sister attends. As a gift at the end of their last show. They are a mother and daughter team and love pink! So way out of my comfort zone using pink (to be honest I had to buy some pink ink pads!)

But here is the finished result....

They just loved them! And I learnt I can do pink! lol
